What do Baby Boomers, Gen. X, Millennials, and Gen. Z have in common?? That’s right…. NOT MUCH! They are divided! Everyone likes to blame the millennials and the Gen. Z for all the problems in the world, but let us remind you… It was in 1963 (Baby Boomers) that Madalyn Murray O’Hair took prayer out of schools. It was in 1973 (Gen. X) that Roe VS. Wade was ruled on in our courts. We have taken and taken from our youth…. for way too long! It’s time to give back. We want to leave some good!
Here at Camp Heritage, our goal is to be a STONE MEMORIAL for future generations. We desire to bring generations together. We will be using physical settings to teach spiritual applications. In Genesis 11, we see the tower of Babel. The people wanted to make brick. Bricks are easier….they are all the same. But we see throughout Scripture where, God uses stone. Altars are always made from stone. Stones/Rocks are unique. Individual. Our fireplace is a representation of this. Made all from stone. We will be teaching the youth that they are all created differently, and fitted together by a Master Builder. He is our Keystone, that holds us all together!
We have planted fruit trees. We will be teaching about pruning, grafting, generational gifts. So many Spiritual applications to be taught through this. There will be a Mulberry Garden where we will bring to life the story of II Samuel 5, teaching and encouraging them to wait on the Lord.
This camp is for the youth, but it’s also for the whole Church! We will be working together, worshipping together, building life-long friendships. We desire that Godly relationships will take off at Camp Heritage! We will help them face the future, by connecting them to the past. We are currently working on putting historical facts about our Country into a teenage format.
Our hope is to offer a weekly camp from May through September, every year, with full-time staff. We also desire to host a yearly Camp Meeting with campsites available for primitive camping, as well as RV hook-ups.
